Friends Album: Photos 28 & 29

Photo No. 28 is similar to one we saw earlier:

Friend No. 28

As with Photo No. 10, this image has an upside-down imprint from Folsom’s studio in Danbury, Conn. This image also has a very grainy texture to it. It almost looks like a drawing, rather than a photograph. There are no other identifying marks on the image.

Photo No. 29 is from still another studio, this time in New Milford, Conn.:

Friend No. 29

I found photographer Walter F. Chipman in city directories on Ancestry. He’s at the Bank Street location in 1888-89 as well as 1891-92. He’s even listed as a photographer at age 17 in the 1880 U.S. Census (though he’s in New Haven then).
