Friends Album: Updates

So far, we know the names of two of the subjects in the Friends Album:

Friend No. 8 aka Fred Young

Fred Young

I looked more into the family I mentioned in my last post about this gentleman and discovered yet another potential Frederick Young that seems more likely to be our man. In 1889, the Frederick Young I thought might be a prospect in my previous post lived in Salisbury, Connecticut, which in today’s travel time would be almost an hour away from the place the photo was taken. I have found another Frederick Young of suitable age who lived only three miles away. More information is needed, but in the meantime, at least I’ve found descendants for each.

Friend No. 12 (Ellis B. Wilson)

Ellis B. Wilson

I found Ellis Wilson’s memorial on FindaGrave and it lists the names of two of his wives: Florence E. Chance & Grace A. Durie. The name Florence matches that as given on his WWII draft registration card. I have yet to find an obituary for him.

Interesting note: The Youngs in 1920 are located next to a Wilson family.
